On my commute this morning, I noticed a new poster on the E from the MTA reminding passengers about priority seating for those with disabilities and how it’s the law to make these seats available to those who need them. I have no issues with this. At the bottom, the poster also states “Please be aware, not all disabilities are visible.” Hmmm. Apparently they wanted an image that went against the whole ‘non-visible disability’ thing, because it looks as if this man’s problem is that he’s twice the size of the man in the seat. And he’s green. All over. And maybe naked.
Yes, I know that there’s a good chance he’s offering up his seat in the picture, but it’s much more amusing to image the MTA thinking that being the Hulk is a legitimate disability among subway riders.
